Prof. Dr. Selçuk Peker is one of the world's foremost authorities in neurosurgery and Gamma Knife radiosurgery. A graduate of Hacettepe University, he completed Gamma Knife fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh and Oregon Health & Science University in 1999. Since 2017 he has directed the Gamma Knife Programme at Koç University Hospital, where he has performed over 13,000 procedures. With 181 peer-reviewed publications and an H-index of 27 (Google Scholar), he is internationally recognised in the field. In 2022, his centre was designated one of only eight Gamma Knife Reference Centres in the world by Elekta AB.
