If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 999 (UK) or your local emergency services immediately. Do not use this Platform in an emergency.

1. MedProtocol is not a medical practice

MedProtocol is a healthcare facilitation platform operated by Connectve Hub Limited. We provide technology and administrative infrastructure to connect patients with independently verified medical specialists. We are not a medical practice, hospital, clinic, or registered healthcare provider.

MedProtocol does not employ doctors. All medical advice, diagnoses, treatment plans, clinical summaries, and specialist recommendations provided through this Platform are the sole professional opinion and responsibility of the individual specialist you consult.

2. The nature of online consultations

Online consultations have inherent limitations compared to in-person clinical assessments. A specialist cannot physically examine you during a video consultation. As a result, some conditions may not be diagnosable or safely assessed remotely. If a specialist considers that your situation requires an in-person examination, they are obligated to tell you so.

Opinions provided through the Platform — including second opinions — are based on the information and documents you provide. The accuracy and completeness of this information is your responsibility. An incorrect or incomplete medical history may affect the quality of clinical advice you receive.

3. Second opinions

A second opinion service provides an independent assessment of a diagnosis or treatment plan based on records you submit. It is not a substitute for ongoing clinical care, and the reviewing specialist is not taking over the management of your condition. Any decisions about your treatment should be made in consultation with your treating physician(s).

4. GP letters and clinical documents

GP letters and clinical summaries provided through the Platform are written by the specialist you consulted and represent their professional opinion based on the consultation. These documents are intended to support continuity of care with your UK-based GP or other treating clinicians. They are not legally equivalent to NHS clinical documents and must be interpreted by your receiving clinician in the context of your full medical history.

5. International treatment and travel

If you are considering travelling abroad for medical treatment, we strongly advise you to:

  • Discuss the proposed treatment with your UK GP before travelling
  • Ensure you have adequate travel and medical insurance that covers the procedure and any complications
  • Understand the post-operative care plan and who will manage any complications when you return to the UK
  • Check that the specialist and facility are registered with the relevant national healthcare authority

MedProtocol verifies specialist credentials but cannot guarantee clinical outcomes. The decision to travel for treatment and the risks associated with doing so remain yours.

6. Medication

Specialists on this Platform do not prescribe medication through online consultations on MedProtocol. If medication is recommended as part of a clinical plan, you should discuss this with your UK GP or treating clinician before obtaining or starting any medication.

7. Mental health

MedProtocol does not currently provide acute mental health services. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact:

  • Samaritans: 116 123 (free, 24/7)
  • Crisis text line: Text SHOUT to 85258
  • NHS urgent mental health support: Contact your GP or call 111

8. Verification limitations

MedProtocol verifies specialist credentials against publicly available registers at the time of onboarding and periodically thereafter. Verification confirms that a specialist's stated qualifications and registration status were accurate at that point in time. It does not constitute a guarantee of clinical competence, outcomes, or conduct after verification. If you become aware that a specialist's details may be incorrect, please notify us at safety@medprotocol.app.

9. Reporting a clinical concern

If you have a concern about the clinical conduct of a specialist you have consulted through MedProtocol, you may:

  • Contact us at safety@medprotocol.app
  • Report a UK-registered specialist to the General Medical Council (GMC) at gmc-uk.org
  • Report concerns about a Turkish-registered specialist to the Turkish Medical Association (Türk Tabipleri Birliği)
